About the Bellevue Native Plant Society

The use of native plants is necessary to create environmentally-responsible gardens and landscapes. The immense value of these plants to the survival of local wildlife such as insects and birds is undeniable: an ecosystem cannot exist without habitat. With increased chemical overuse, habitat loss, and climate change, re-introducing native plants to their natural habitats via our gardens and landscapes is of vital importance.

Bellevue Native Plant Society is a group located in Bellevue, Nebraska. Our main focus is transforming our own gardens and landscapes to be sustainable, pollinator habitats. We are also working to renovate and maintain community gardens as well as furthering education surrounding pollinators and native plants.

We are glad you are here and welcome you!
